TRAYLL

TRAYLL (Teens Register At Your Local Library)

TRAC is conducting consumer insight research amongst 12-18 year olds in full-time education in order to evaluate the level of the appeal of e-book services from public libraries.

Click here to access the report of our pilot survey, which clearly shows that:

  • the majority of teenagers are unaware that libraries offer e-books
  • a majority would be likely to use library e-book services and are willing to make the effort to register for them
  • the relevance of e-book services is most crucial for the more economically disadvantaged and for those living in more rural areas

Libraries and schools need to work together to promote the services available, and TRAC is preparing some downloadable tools for use in school and public libraries that will soon be available here.
