Web application to support teen reading
Research has confirmed that lack of time and the difficulty of identifying interesting books to read are significant factors which hinder reading for pleasure by teenagers.
To address this, TRAC is developing a book-finder app dedicated to teenagers which will enable them to quickly and easily identify books of relevance and appeal.
Teens Register At Your Local Library
TRAC is conducting consumer insight research amongst 12-18 year olds in full-time education in order to evaluate the level of the appeal of e-book services from public libraries.
Libraries and schools need to work together to promote the services available, and TRAC is preparing some downloadable tools for use in school and public libraries that will soon be available here.
1000* books for teens
TRAC have identified 1000* books which will be actively promoted to teens, fully tagged by genre and by TRAC’s unique reading skill/adult content badging. Books from our 1000 will be promoted on a weekly basis via social media, relevant press and our web-site and school / public library networks, and will be commencing with TRAC Summer Reads July 2014. * The list will be constantly updated to reflect quality new books
"A great book should leave you with many experiences, and slightly exhausted at the end. You live several lives while reading."
